Stuck inside

Hello, beautiful people!

Winter came to Lithuania… It’s -25 ℃ (up to – 32℃ at night) and it’s not that fun to be outside. That’s why all the streets are empty and everyone is stuck inside. It made me wonder: what people are doing inside? How can I make the most out of my time being inside?

First of all I feel like since you’re stuck inside you have to make your environment as cozy as possible. Tidy a bit and light up some candles, maybe throw some extra blankets or light up fairy lights. I did all of those things 🙂

While I was cleaning I found a lot of old stuff. Such as old letters and tickets to my favorite concerts, old clothes I used to wear, notebooks and just sentimental bits and pieces. It was nice to walk down the memory lane. 🙂

I’ve been listening and dancing to music all day and actually created Spotify playlist with my current favorite songs, if you’d like you can check it out  🙂

I had time to watch movies. I watched La la land and became obsessed with that movie! By the way how beautiful is that poster?? Also my obsession to Ryan Gosling increased to enormous level, so I watched as many Ryan Gosling movies as I could when I came back home from movie theater…

I got this amazing book called ‘This modern love’ by Will Darbyshire for Christmas and I love it so much. It is collection of love letters from people all around the world. They’re so personal yet relatable and very touching. I enjoy reading every letter…

Actually I’ve done a lot of things from reading to dancing, from cooking to writing, from singing to laying on my bed and contemplating about life. But I also managed to get outside and meet friends, see my family.

The only thing I haven’t done is my workout! I should be ashamed of that. 😦

What do you do while stuck inside a house? Leave a comment. 🙂

Head to the beach , takes us over 2 hours so we leave early to avoid the midday sun. Sit on the back lawn with out feet in the doggy pool 🙂 make icy cocktails

I think you filled your confinement up beautifully. I would do some crafts (perhaps art journalling) too. But I think sometimes it is ok to just hang out and not to feel guilty about not working out.

I would love to do crafts, but I’m not very good at it… 😦 It’s so hard to force myself workout when it’s so cold… All I want to do is cover myself in million of blankets with cup of hot tea 😀

That is super-cold 😦 Here in Jersey, Channel Islands we rarely get much below zero. You can write – how about writing a book, or at least a short story. What would your genre be?

Thank you for supporting my page! Was actually wondering whether I should watch La La Land, I am kinda convinced now 🙂 Also, if ever there is a chance to do something similar to “This Modern Love”, don’t miss out, you write really well, and it is very cool to have your work immortalised (sounds wayyy to grand) on paper 🙂 Btw, there is a Lithuanian entry in the book, cool to be represented 🙂

I spend one winter (and one summer) in Lithuania, and I honestly miss it!
Of course it was extremely cold, but as you say, it makes the apartment much more cozy. Also, it was a good winter to read and write a lot. As someone who has plenty of notebooks filled with ideas, observations and stories that I would like to turn into finished articles or maybe a book, I am think that another winter in Lithuania is exactly what I need.
